The Twisted Childhood Universe is a project that started as a low-budget joke and turned into a viral phenomenon and a profitable franchise. Now, filmmakers and screenwriters are promising not just horror, but a dark crossover of all kinds of fairytale monsters. Let's take a look at the horror films featuring children's characters that make up this franchise, and what projects are coming next.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)

The first film in the Winnie the Pooh universe, the one that started it all. After the rights to the original Winnie the Pooh fell into the public domain, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield transformed Winnie and Piglet into killers terrorizing people in the woods.

Despite scathing reviews, an absurd plot, and deeply unpleasant visuals, the film grossed over $7.7 million against a budget of $50,000—and instantly became a cultural phenomenon.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (2024)

In the second part, the creators promised even more madness and blood. With a new cast and a budget that has increased tenfold, the film looks bigger and darker. The bear continues to take revenge on humanity, and the director assures that this is no longer just trash, but a serious horror film. Box office receipts once again exceeded $7 million, proving that audiences have not yet had enough of the murderous Pooh.

Peter Pan A Nightmare in Neverland (2025)

In this franchise, Peter Pan is a maniac who kidnaps children and lives on an island steeped in madness. Wendy sets out to find her brother Michael and encounters the disfigured fairy Tinker Bell, who is addicted to "fairy dust." The film is based on the French horror film Blood Harvest (2003) and is inspired by the recent film Black Phone.

Bambi. Forest Nightmare (2025)

If you thought the death of Bambi's mother was the worst thing that could happen, you were wrong. In this version, a grown deer is transformed into a mutated monster, seeking revenge on humanity for its losses. The main character and her son try to survive in a forest full of bloody traps. The creators were inspired by the horror film "The Ritual" (2017).

Pinocchio: The Uninhibited (2026)

In this story, a naive wooden boy goes out into the world to rid it of evil—by killing everyone, of course. Geppetto's grandson, James, witnesses Pinocchio's transformation into a monster obsessed with a peculiar morality. The film will feature Robert Englund (the same one who played Freddy Krueger).

Poohverse: Monsters Unite (2026)

The culmination of the franchise's first phase is a grand crossover of all the fairytale monsters. It brings together Pooh, Piglet, Bambi, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, and Tintin. Instead of saving the world, they want to destroy it. Well, you get the idea, these are monster avengers, and the film promises to be the pinnacle of trashy horror and the destruction of ideals.

Future films in the franchise that haven't yet acquired footage:

1. "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3" (2026) - the familiar concept will be even more ambitious, now featuring Heffalumps, Woozles, Kanga, and Roo. It's scary to imagine.

2. "Waking Sleeping Beauty" - the heroine wakes up not to a kiss, but to something far more sinister. The plot is still being kept under wraps, but the creators promise to explore themes of control and violence in a dark, gothic atmosphere.

3. "Snow White Returns" - returns, but clearly not as we remember. This is a dark version of the fairy tale, where the heroine stops being a victim and becomes a hunter. The creators promise a combination of folklore and pure horror.

4. "Mad Alice" - here, Alice is not a wanderer through wonders, but a girl from an agency called the "White Rabbit." She is pursued by the Mad Hatter, who has turned into an obsessive maniac. The creators were inspired by 2012's "Maniac" and "Maxine XXX," promising a psychedelic horror with erotic overtones.

5. "Tigra Returns" - according to rumors, Tigra will be the most aggressive and insane character in the entire franchise. Apparently, he will jump not only on tails, but also on corpses.

6. An untitled Mary Poppins film features a nanny turned into a child abductor, hiding her crimes behind a veneer of impeccable manners. The creators promise a "dark social satire about parenting and control." Her umbrella, of course, is still magical—only now it's a weapon.
