Newly crowned Swedish football champions We took a bus around our native village. Fans rode nearby on tractors
Recently, the football club Mjällby, from the fishing village of Hallevik, with a population of approximately 1,500, won the Swedish championship for the first time in its 86-year history. The team celebrated the victory with a bus ride through the village, accompanied by farmer fans on tractors.
In Sweden, tractors from local farmers accompanied the Mjällby football team bus during the parade after winning the Swedish championship: the club from the village of Hallevik, with a population of 1,500, won the title for the first time in its history.
The club has the smallest budget in the top league, and is coached by 59-year-old Anders Torstensson, a former school principal. Under his leadership, Mjällby has won 20 matches, drawn six, and lost only one this season.
