A Brazilian woman was arrested for "blackmailing an entire city" (5 photos + 1 video)

21-year-old Anielle Souza Silva posted shocking messages on social media. She accused residents of adultery, pregnancies, and child abuse, demanding money to remove the defamatory information.





The woman posted false information about residents of Conceição das Alagoas on social media, and her posts garnered millions of views.

Police allege that Silva intentionally harmed people by spreading rumors. One of the victims reported that her daughter was bullied at school after one of these posts. The child developed depression.

The gossip columnist's actions also dealt a blow to the charity. Silva wrote that a disabled child had been abused at the organization. Representatives stated that sales of lottery tickets used to raise funds plummeted after these posts.



Shortly after the investigation began, the girl was arrested. Anielli is accused not only of defamation but also of extortion. She demanded money from victims to remove their posts.
