The thief didn’t expect that a woman would detain him thanks to a spectacular jiu-jitsu move
Sol Vargas Garita, 25, a resident of Costa Rica, was visiting a 24-hour restaurant when a thief tried to steal her bag from a bench. The girl did not lose her head and pinned the attacker down using a move from a well-known Japanese wrestling style.
The girl says that she came after a night shift and ordered breakfast. A moment later, she noticed how a man grabbed her bag from the counter.
"There was no one in the restaurant. This guy takes my bag, I see him and I think: "He can't take it,"" Sol said.
In response, the woman grabbed the thief, threw him on the floor and held him in a hold. According to eyewitnesses, he was completely immobilized until the police arrived and even suffered injuries.
"It was an instant reaction. I don't know anything like that. It came out of me naturally," she said.
