The singer wore it during a concert in France in 1977.
A collectible sock worn by Michael Jackson during a concert in Nice as part of the HIStory world tour in 1997 was sold at auction for €6.2 thousand.
It is claimed that the sock was especially noticeable during the performance of the famous "moonwalk" on the songs Beat it and Billie Jean.
The top of the sock is decorated with crystals. The item of clothing was initially valued at 3-4 thousand euros with a starting price of 2.5 thousand euros.
The sock was packed in a frame along with a pass of one of the technicians who worked at Jackson's concert in Nice. The man found the sock while disassembling the equipment after the show and has kept it since then.
This is not the first time this item of Jackson's concert wardrobe has been put up for auction. Previously, an attempt was made to sell it on July 21, but no buyer was found.
