What the infrastructure of the Colossus 2 supercomputer that trains AI looks like (2 photos)

This is what the infrastructure of xAI's Colossus 2 supercomputer, designed for training artificial intelligence, looks like. It is the largest AI cluster in history, with 550,000 liquid-cooled GB200 and GB300 GPUs. That number will later be expanded to a million.

To power all this, a gigawatt of energy will be required, which will be provided by gas turbines and, in the future, a separate power plant. Colossus 2 is set to launch in just a few weeks.

And just look at that amazing cable management!
