A Very Rare Ford Mustang by Zagato Is Up for Sale (29 photos)

A very rare 1967 Ford Mustang is up for auction online. Its exterior was modified by the Italian studio Zagato. Only two of these cars were ever made. The bidding has just begun and the current bid is only 10 thousand euros.





Zagato is known all over the world, but its specialization has always been European cars. Its main clients include British Aston Martin and Italian Alfa Romeo.

The year of modernization of this Ford Mustang is not specified, but, apparently, the cars were sent from the USA to Italy in new condition. There were only two of them. The fastback received a new hood, radiator grille, and front optics. The latter is especially striking: the standard round headlights have given way to rectangular ones.

The sports car also had its seat upholstery replaced, and the body was repainted from the factory white to green. One of the following owners returned the Mustang to its original color, but after restoration in 2019, it again acquired a green color from Zagato.

The two-door car is equipped with air conditioning and a radio. A fire extinguisher is installed at the passenger's feet. The V8 engine drives the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. The car's mileage is unknown.
