A Rocket Engine Was Shown in Operation in China with a variable flight path
The new aircraft is capable of making a sharp turn in the air by almost 180 degrees.
The Chinese military has shown a video of a rocket engine being tested that can reach speeds of up to 20,000 kilometers per hour, which is approximately Mach 16.3. In the published footage, the aircraft turns sharply in the air, changing its trajectory by almost 180 degrees.
There is no official information yet about the technical design and operating principles of the installation; the first to show the tests of the Chinese engine, such maneuvers, at least visually, go beyond the usual aerodynamic capabilities of modern aircraft.
Earlier, the media reported on the development of Chinese engineers who came up with mini-drones the size of a mosquito. This device moves silently, simulating the flight of an insect. Its body contains miniature sensors and cameras. Such a drone can also be controlled via a smartphone. The operating time of the mini-drone is limited for now, and this is an experimental model that will be further developed.
However, according to experts, such devices have a great future: they can be used to collect data and conduct pinpoint missions in combat conditions. Mini-drones are indispensable for covert operations, reconnaissance and surveillance where visibility means failure.
