Toyota Prius Turned into a Copy of the Cybertruck in the USA (31 photos)

The creator of the latest home-made copy of the Cybertruck, owner of a transport company Johnny Lange from Utah, took as a basis a heavily used 2004 Toyota Prius with a mileage of over 200 thousand miles. Having dismantled the hood and outer panels, he welded a skeleton from square-section steel pipes, hoisting it onto the donor chassis. The frame is covered with aluminum sheets on the outside. The image is completed by LED optics of unknown origin and black spoked wheels.





Compromises in the design in this case were inevitable, since the Japanese hybrid kept the power plant and all the interior stuffing intact, although the rear pair of doors still had to be sacrificed. Surely, the driving dynamics of the 110-horsepower car, weighed down by a fair amount of additional metal, no longer correspond to the factory parameters.

The homemade product received its own name - Cybercop, since it is designed in the style of a patrol car and equipped with flashing lights on the roof, a pair of searchlights on the front pillars, as well as fake machine guns on the sides. But just in case, there are warning signs that this is not a police car.

Lange explained the parody, which took four months to build, by a desire to mock the Cybertruck style without spending on the scale of Tesla: “I guess sometimes you just have to find satisfaction in coming up with an idea, no matter how stupid it seems, and seeing it through to completion.” He did not pursue any commercial gain, did not intend to drive his “Cybercop” himself, and immediately sold it on eBay. All proceeds, which is $4,550, will go to the Utah’s 10-33 Foundation, a charity that supports the families of deceased police officers.
