The reason for his expulsion from the UAE was a tattoo on his face.

Jordan Howman, 34, arrived at Dubai airport with his fiancée Teresa, daughter of Cake, where he planned to spend a week-long holiday. But upon arrival, the man was stopped by customs officers: he was held for six hours and then refused entry - because of a tattoo on his face.

"It completely broke me. I feel like I was brutally discriminated against. My fiancée cried. There is no ban on facial tattoos in the local law - there is no such thing," the man says.

He said the incident left him feeling "disgusted" and put him off returning to the Emirates, which used to be his favorite country.

"I'm never going back there again. I lost all my money just because of a tattoo on my face," Jordan said. He's now back in Manchester and says he only got his passport back when he got home.

"Only when I landed in the UK did they return my passport, which was taken away during deportation," the man admits, adding that he has no plans to file a lawsuit against the airline or the UAE.

The publication's journalists contacted the Dubai Airport Authority and the UAE Department of Tourism for comment. At the time of publication, no response was received.
