A cat survived after its owner accidentally washed it in a washing machine (2 photos + 1 video)

A nine-month-old Burmese cat named Pablo climbed into his family's washing machine and fell asleep. The owner, unsuspecting, started a 55-minute cycle without using any detergent.





When the machine finished, the man opened the door and found his pet in critical condition. Pablo was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic, where he received emergency care.

Vets diagnosed the cat with a head injury, lung damage and the loss of several toes. Clinic employee Ella Yarsley noted that the animal's condition was one of the worst she had ever seen.



"Not many people have seen cats go through an entire washing cycle and survive. It was a miracle," the doctor said.

The clinic staff also reported that such cases are more common than one might imagine.
