A cosmetics lover suddenly dies (5 photos + 1 video)
Popular beauty blogger Guava Shuishui has died at the age of 24. The Taiwanese woman was known for eating makeup on camera. 
Guava Shuishui, known online as Guava Beauty, had amassed thousands of followers thanks to her beauty product reviews. Her social media page revealed that the content creator had died on May 24 from a “sudden illness.” 
The girl gained popularity thanks to her "mukbang" videos: viewers watched her eat products such as lipstick, blush, face masks and cotton pads.
Guava tested cosmetics in detail, tasted them and shared her impressions. She often asked subscribers to recommend interesting products for tasting. 
Guava's exact cause of death is unknown, but her family released a statement: "Despite the suddenness of her illness, Shuishui endured all the hardships with her characteristic hard work, seriousness, and brilliance. Thank you to everyone who supported her with likes, messages, and laughed with her. Your love and support are priceless to her. She will always hold them in her heart."
They concluded: "Guava Shuishui continues to shine in another place. When we meet again, she will probably be unboxing exclusive angelic cosmetics and eating."
Later, the profile header read, "Leaving the world. Embarking on a new journey. All business collaborations are suspended." 
In one popular video posted in late 2024, Guava was seen eating jelly blush. In the caption, she emphasized that the content is not recommended for children under six.
Concerned fans have warned of the toxicity of the products and asked not to promote the eating of cosmetics.
Mukbang, where bloggers eat (often excessively) and interact with followers, has attracted more criticism as its popularity grows. The trend has reached extremes. Three creators of such content have died in the last three years from overeating and obesity.
