Estate with its own car museum put up for sale in the US for $125 million (12 photos)
An estate built in 1986 by order of William Lyon, a former high-ranking military man who later made a fortune in real estate, has been put up for sale in California. According to the Wall Street Journal, the property not only contains many buildings, but also has its own auto museum with a collection of classic cars. The property was valued at $125 million.
The area of the area designated for the display of cars exceeds 2 thousand square meters. The collection of William Lyon, who loved cars since childhood, sometimes exceeded 100 units, but he kept no more than eight dozen on the estate. To fully support the rarities, the owner of the collection organized a private gas station, car service and car wash, and the staffing schedule of the service personnel included the position of a car mechanic.
In addition to the car museum, the estate includes, for example, the main residence building (also more than 2 thousand square meters), three guest houses, a swimming pool and a tennis court, as well as a helipad and stables. The residential area is surrounded by 16 hectares of orange orchards.
The estate is put up for sale by William Lyon's son, as his parents recently passed away.
