In Riga, police detained a beaver for “improper rest”

In the center of the Latvian capital, the police were attracted by a beaver lying quietly near a pond. Local law enforcement officers decided that the animal was breaking the rules and tried to issue it a fine. Fortunately, the animal was not recognized as a threat to national security and was released.
