Five British women have been arrested on the island of Corfu. A video released on May 23 shows two women in skimpy outfits performing a pole routine outside the Palace of Saints Michael and George.
The palace, now the Museum of Asian Art in Corfu, was designed by British architects in the 19th century and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The tourists hired a photographer and filmed at 1:30 a.m. In the video, you can see women standing in line and supporting the dancers.

According to the Greek TV channel ANT1, the British women came to Corfu as part of a two-week educational program with a dance school. The photos were intended for a portfolio.
The museum staff filed a lawsuit, and the troublemakers were arrested on Saturday.
The women admitted to the police that they regretted their decision.
Deputy Mayor for Culture Konstantinos Voussolinos told Corfu TV News that permission was required for professional photography inside the palace.
He said: “There was no request and we would not issue permission.”

Gerasimos Grammenos, the defendants’ lawyer, said permission was not required for photography inside the palace.
He explained: “The place is public and there is no sign or prohibition against photography. In any case, they could not have known about it. The defendants trusted a professional photographer, a Corfiot, who assured them that there would be no problem.”
