In this selection, I decided to tell you about several films about time travel that I personally liked. Some of them are serious projects that make you “think about life”, raising serious topics. Others are funny comedies that will simply relax you after a hard day at work, without forcing you to strain your brain. In general, I decided to maintain a balance between the two. It won’t do without “chewing gum for the brain”. And you write what films on this topic you like - we are waiting in the comments!
“Aliens”, 1993
In this film from the distant 90s, you will be entertained by the inimitable Jean Reno, who plays an honorary count, and Christian Clavier, who tried on the role of a faithful assistant, whose only goal in life is to indulge the whims of the master. In his time, 1122, the count accidentally makes a tragic mistake. Because of which he asks the sorcerer to make a potion that would bring him back a little - to correct that very mistake (which one exactly - I will not spoil). The magician does his job, the count drinks the magic potion, but together with his servant finds himself in modern (by the standards of those years, of course) France. How they will survive there and what to do - see for yourself. But laughter is guaranteed. 
«Groundhog Day», 1993
First of all, I pay tribute to the classic with Bill Murray in the lead role. The film, released more than 30 years ago, can still make you laugh, while at the same time making you think about life and existence. Perhaps, few people need to be told about the plot, but still. The main character here is a television worker who annually celebrates the holiday - Groundhog Day - in a small town. However, at some point everything "breaks" - now the main character wakes up every day on the same day, February 2. 
«The Butterfly Effect», 2003
Here the directors and screenwriters showed how any, even the smallest detail, can change the reality around us. The main character discovers that he can travel through the nooks and crannies of his own memory when he reads his own diaries, which he kept since his teenage years. And such an unusual ability, at some point, comes back to bite him, as they say. I won't go into details - I just recommend watching it if you haven't watched it yet. 
"Hanging in Palm Springs", 2020
A comedy with Andy Samberg, who may be known to some from the TV series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine". Niles, whom he plays, is relaxing at a wedding, during which an earthquake occurs. At the same time, a time portal suddenly opens in one of the caves - or rather, a trap. Once in it, Niles even despairs, realizing that he can't get out. What he does with it - it's impossible to write. However, he soon understands that this situation can still be enjoyed - drinking, walking, having fun, putting on a show, doing "that" with all the guests at the wedding, etc. The film does not pretend to be brilliant, but it will do for an evening. 
"Hot Tub Time Machine", 2010
A light comedy that will lift your spirits without forcing you to strain your brain. Sometimes, you must admit, you want something like that. The plot tells about four friends who meet and decide to spend a weekend at a ski resort, where many years ago they experienced the happiest moments in their lives. There they have fun, accompanying the entertainment with alcohol and sitting in a jacuzzi (in which the very time machine is located). The company moves to those same years of crazy youth. Here their adventures begin, where the main task will be not to change the past, which is quite difficult. After all, not everyone in modern reality has everything good in life ... 
"Triangle", 2009
This film really surprised me - so if you haven't seen it, it is highly recommended for viewing. A man named Gray invites the main character to relax on a yacht with a company. The ship gets into a storm, capsizes, but the vacationers survive. True, now they don't know where they are or what to do. Suddenly a cruise liner appears - here it is, salvation! But no. There is not a single soul on the huge ship (at first glance). This is where the action begins. Another worthwhile project about a time loop, implemented in a rather unusual way. 
«Edge of Tomorrow», 2014
One of the best projects, in my opinion, about time looping. Tom Cruise plays William Cage, who dies during an alien attack on Earth, but ends up in a time loop, where he experiences his final fight with the enemy over and over again. At the same time, he tries to understand what is happening, how to fix everything. Of course, there will be allies, a love story will appear. The film is very interesting to watch, it constantly keeps you in suspense, in a sense showing time loops in a new way. 
«Time Loop», 2012
The tandem of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the legendary Bruce Willis in this film does not leave you indifferent. The main character, Joe Simmons, lives in a world filled with corruption, cruelty, and banditry. And he works as a looper. His task is to eliminate people who are objectionable to the mafia (the mafia sends its victims straight from 2074). At some point, each looper receives several bars of gold tied to the victim's body. This means one thing - the killer is about to kill himself from the future. And, having received such a package, Joe was confused, which is why everything went wrong. I will not tell you how events will develop further - it is better to see with your own eyes, the picture is truly worthwhile. 
"Back to the Future", 1985
It would probably be a sin not to mention this legend here. I'm sure everyone has watched it, and some (like me) have watched all the parts more than once. Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) and Christopher Lloyd (Dr. Emmett Brown) will forever remain in the cinema, since the film attracted the attention of viewers around the world. What can I say, many fans are still hunting for the DMC DeLorean, which became that very time machine. Is it worth talking about the plot? Probably not. If by some miracle it turned out that you missed this film, be sure to correct this omission.
