Disney showed their robots, which they are developing together with NVIDIA, up close.
They are completely autonomous, because they are controlled by artificial intelligence. The robots do not move mechanically, but with lively, “cartoonish” facial expressions and body movements. They are also able to fall, tumble, get up, move along stairs and uneven surfaces.
These robots can adapt to the environment and communicate with a person - recognize their emotional signals (such as joy, surprise, fear) based on facial expressions and gestures.
