Activists attacked the houses of wealthy Parisians, but purely symbolically (2 photos + 2 videos)
In one of the most prestigious and specially protected areas of Paris, Villa Montmorency, eco-schizos recently decided to remind those in power about environmental problems. 
The Extinction Rebellion movement usually organizes spectacular actions, often illegal but non-violent, such as blocking roads, occupying public places or causing symbolic damage. 
And now a few words about where they got themselves into. Villa Montmorency is a gated and guarded residence located on a hill in the Auteuil district. Built in the 19th century, it unites more than a hundred houses, now converted into luxury residences or private mansions. The area is home to many businessmen, politicians and entertainment. Residents and former residents include Vincent Bolloré, Gerard Depardieu, Celine Dion, Mylène Farmer, Jean-Paul Baudecroux and Nicolas Sarkozy. This place is considered one of the most exclusive residential areas of Paris.
So, about thirty activists were lucky enough to get into a protected residential area, where, overjoyed that they were not immediately kicked out, they began to attack the houses of rich Parisians. According to them, this action is aimed at raising awareness of the responsibility of the richest people for the destruction of the planet.
But since it is really scary to vandalize, the action turned out to be a laughing matter. The especially brave even put on T-shirts with the inscription "Tax the rich."
They sprayed paint, trying not to stain anything particularly valuable, took some photos as a souvenir and, after making a little noise, got out of harm's way. Apparently, those in power never understood what it was all about.
The life of a simple activist is hard and unsightly.
