A spirit tanker overturned and started a fire in which 27 cars burned
An ethanol tanker truck overturned near Florianopolis, Brazil. The alcohol caught fire, and rivers of fire flowed along the highway. The driver of the tanker and his wife received burns of 30 and 20% of their bodies, respectively, and three more people were injured to a lesser extent. A total of 27 cars burned. The highway was reopened for traffic only the next day.
