In Hawaii, a humpback whale swam up to a boat and greeted a golden retriever

The dog's owner captured this adorable moment on video. According to her, it was the "best day of her pet's life."

Chrissy Lovitt and Macy were on a fishing boat about three kilometers from the city of Lahaina when they spotted a humpback whale in the water. The dog began barking frantically, and the whale, hearing this, swam up to Macy and briefly stuck its head out of the water to greet the golden retriever.

The dog, according to her, loves the ocean: she is "obsessed with sea life and whales." All because Chrissy has been leading boat tours for tourists for 25 years. Macy is her owner's faithful companion.
