Tesla's cameras captured the moment a cyclist smashed the rear window and stole a bag. The masked thief stole a new Stone Island jacket worth £1,000. 
The theft took place in London's Knightsbridge, not far from the famous Harrods department store. The Tesla driver left the purchase in plain sight. The thief parked his bike and smashed the rear window.
Police have not yet been able to identify the man. 
London is in the grip of a theft epidemic. Last month, criminals stole items from a car while the driver and passenger were inside.
The video shows a driver in a red Mercedes pulling into a car park next to a Sikh temple in Southall and looking for a potential victim to be attacked. He spots women with shopping bags and parks next to them. At that moment, his accomplices run out and take the bags.
Aveena Kaur, a local resident, said: “This happened to my aunt in this car park too. When she got out of the car, the thieves opened the passenger door and stole change and sunglasses. We need to protect our gurdwaras, if criminals can get that close, they will soon be inside.”
A temple spokesman said: "We strongly condemn any form of criminal behavior. Rest assured, all our facilities are equipped with CCTV systems, ensuring the safety and security of the Sangat. Please be vigilant. If you see anything suspicious, please report it immediately. Together we can ensure the safety of our community."
