In India, at the largest conference, investors did not share a free treat
People are funny creatures, individually they seem adequate, reasonable, sometimes even do something useful, but when there are many of them, the situation changes dramatically.
Startuppers, investors, respectable businessmen gathered at the largest investment conference. And what do you think all these adults did? You will never guess.
They fought over free food. In a matter of minutes, a serious event turned into complete chaos.
It would be fine if only residents of India gathered there, but no. The conference, opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, included representatives from more than 60 countries. The event, aimed at attracting corporate investment, ended in a banal brawl over free food.
Okay, it didn’t end, it lasted two days and after dividing up the freebies, the investors still managed to come to an agreement among themselves. Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at the concluding session of the conference, said that the Global Investor Summit (GIS), organised by the Madhya Pradesh government, was very important for further productive cooperation.
But history will remember it as "investors fighting over a plate of free food".
