In the UK, a brave cat has become a real star of railway accidents. If a Maine Coon named Mittens recently became an accidental passenger on several flights, then Tilly went on her journey "planned".

A two-year-old traveller covered more than 27 km by train, travelling from Weybridge to London Waterloo station without her owner. And now her story has received an incredible continuation - South Western Railway presented Tilly with her own smart card Cat2Go, which guarantees her free travel on trains for life.

After Tilly set off on her incredible journey, her owner, 52-year-old Michael Hardy, had to travel across the capital to collect his moustachioed pet and bring her home.

As soon as the story hit the headlines, South Western Railway decided to give the animal a special gift – her own smart card for future adventures on their trains.

"In case our whiskered traveller gets feline-like again, we've decided to give Tilly her own Cat2Go smartcard - giving her free travel on our network for all nine of her lives. She just has to remember to touch it!" a spokesman said.

Owner Michael will be meeting staff at Weybridge station to receive a physical copy of the railcard, which will feature Tilly's name.
