After hospitalization, despite the efforts of doctors, first a 24-year-old tourist from the UK died, and later her neighbor, a 27-year-old German citizen, died. The German woman's husband, who was also taken away by ambulance, is in serious condition and doctors' prognosis for his recovery is very cautious.

It turned out that the room next door had been sprayed with bedbug repellent. The hostel administration claims that after this the premises remained closed for 72 hours and no one entered them. However, experts suggest that the visitors could have been poisoned by phosphine - this volatile, highly toxic compound could have penetrated into the room next door.
Experts will receive the final results of the cause of death after the autopsy of the deceased tourists, but recently people have been dying from poisoning by toxic gas fumes quite often.
