As a bonus, the God of Rain struck the plane with lightning, so that they wouldn't relax. A joke about God, not about lightning.
Over the past 24 hours, Brazilian weather forecasters have only managed to record gloomy records due to the bad weather that has covered the metropolis of Sao Paulo. The city recorded the third highest amount of precipitation in the last 64 years.
In several hours of incessant rain, about 13 thousand lightning strikes were recorded. At Guarulhos Airport, lightning struck the tail of a British Airways Airbus A350. After that, the plane took off and landed safely in London.
According to local media, due to heavy rainfall, about 140 thousand properties were left without electricity, roads were flooded, trees felled, the subway, houses and shopping centers in several residential areas were flooded.
The hardest hit areas were in the western part of the city - for example, Vila Madalena, which is known as a popular place among locals and tourists: there are restaurants, art galleries, nightclubs.
At least a hundred people died and at least two hundred went missing. The situation is now beginning to stabilize.
