A mother of five children outrages her neighbors with her actions: all because of her love for Barbie (6 photos)
Jamie Green, 42, is a huge fan of the color pink and Barbie doll, and her neighbors think she's crazy. The mother of many says that people have a clear bias against this color scheme.
42-year-old Jamie Lee Green has become a huge fan of the Barbie doll, and her passion for turning everything around her pink makes her neighbors think she's clearly lost her mind.
A woman admits that she is surprised by the reaction of her neighbors after she painted her house pink, which they call "disgusting" and "awful". However, Ms. Green reacts calmly to such reproaches and says that she is simply doing what her heart desires.
"Pink is happiness for me, it is what I love." I don’t hurt anyone or do anything bad, this is my love and my passion - why don’t you just continue yours?” the woman asks.
She also doesn’t understand that all the houses around are painted blue, purple and gray, and her house causes such a strong reaction. Therefore, the woman says that colors are just colors, and someone clearly does not perceive pink.
The mother of five herself loves this color and has become a big fan of the iconic Barbie doll. When Ms. Green bought this house, the grayness of its walls and interior became a reason for her to “breathe life into it.”
She carried out an expensive renovation, covering all the rooms in pink, even those that belong to her children. In addition, she placed in the house (except for the children's rooms) a huge collection of Barbie dolls and all the characters that have pink color.
Ms. Green herself says that she will think about changing her last name to Pink (pink in English - ed.) or Barbie. She says that it would be much more pleasant for her than to be just "Mrs. Green".
"I think it would be better. It would be much nicer to be called Mrs. Pink or Barbie. I just liked pink and the girlishness of it all from my youth - I dressed and liked what I wanted. How many people enjoyed something starting from childhood, so why can't I do it too?", the woman says.
Journalists write that all the neighbors have different attitudes to Ms. Green's hobby: some clearly consider her crazy, others just don't know how to comment on this situation when the neighbor has a pink car, a pink house and even a fence painted this color.
