Although Musa Hasakhia Kasera's family is impressive in size, his living conditions leave much to be desired. He lives in a dilapidated house, while his wives and children are housed in a few modest mud huts.

70-year-old Musa Hasakhia Kasera, a resident of the village of Mukiza (Uganda), has become an international sensation thanks to his huge family. The man has 12 wives, 102 children and 578 grandchildren, which has made his story not only a topic of discussion, but also an object of admiration and concern.

The story of Khasakhia, nicknamed "the man who fathered the most children in the world," has gone viral on social media. Comments on his situation ranged from humorous to serious: some suggested calling his family a separate neighborhood, while others said that he lives a full life. However, the man's life itself is full of challenges.

Khasakhia's family story began in 1972, when he got married for the first time at the age of 17. Over time, his status as a successful cattle trader and butcher made him popular among locals, who offered their daughters in marriage. Thus, his family began to grow rapidly. Today, the man's children range in age from 10 to 50 years old, and the youngest is only 3 years old.

Khasakhia admits that remembering the names of all his children has become a difficult task for him.

"I only remember the name of the first and last child, the rest are written in old notebooks," he says.

To maintain order and resolve conflicts, he organizes monthly meetings. Despite the impressive size of the family, Khasakhia's life is far from ideal. He lives in a dilapidated house, and a few mud huts serve as housing for his wives and children. The two acres of land that once fed his family can no longer provide for everyone.

"We are barely surviving. There is not enough food, sometimes the children eat only once a day," says Zabin's third wife.

The older children and grandchildren help to collect water and firewood, and do chores for the neighbors.

Family relationships in such a large group require special attention. Hasakhia is assisted by his son Shaban Magino, a primary school teacher, who ensures that the children receive at least a basic education. Local authorities recognize his achievements in maintaining peace in the family, despite difficult conditions.

"Despite the difficulties, he raises his children with dignity," notes the local administrator.

Today, Hasakhia realizes that his previous decisions led to such consequences. He convinced his wives to use contraception to stop their family from growing any further.

"I've learned my lesson and there will be no more children. I just can't afford to take care of more," he added.
