A man built a computer for his son in the case of the first PlayStation (10 photos)
A US resident with no experience in assembling a PC decided to make an original gift for his son for Christmas. He assembled a gaming computer in the case of an original PlayStation console.
A Reddit user under the nickname Ayucrabby turned a PlayStation into a working gaming PC in order to give his son a computer for Christmas. The craftsman said that this required improvised tools, an engraver, some calculations "on the knee", and also a considerable risk with improvisation.
For his project, the man cut open the PlayStation case, removed all the components from the device, and then placed PC components in it.
He built the build using a Gigabyte A520i Dash DC motherboard, a Ryzen 7 5700X processor, 32GB of RAM, a 2TB Lexar 790 SSD, a server cooler, and a modified GeForce RTX 4060 Mobile GPU. The build is further cooled by three fans.
I decided to show off my first PC build. I probably would never have taken it on if it weren't for the desire to surprise my son for Christmas. Very happy with the results, finally got overheating under control.

Members of the r/pcmasterrace subreddit highly rated the build. Many were surprised by the fact that a man successfully completed such a complex project, while not having the necessary experience.
