Aston Martin presented the 4-engine hypercar Valhalla (23 photos)
Aston Martin has unveiled the production version of Valhalla, whose development began at least five years ago. The model received a hybrid powertrain, the total output of which is 1079 hp and 1100 Nm. Production of the competitor to Lamborghini Revuelto and Ferrari SF90 Stradale will start in the second quarter of 2025, and the total series will be 999 cars.
Aston Martin Valhalla is based on a carbon monocoque with aluminum subframes and has a fully independent suspension. The front uses a pushrod scheme, and the rear has a five-link. The 4-liter V8, delivering 828 hp (a record value for the brand), is borrowed from other models, but has been specially modified for Valhalla. It received its own turbochargers, a flat crankshaft, a dry sump lubrication system and original exhaust manifolds.
A new 8-speed robot with an integrated electric motor is located in the rear along with the V8. Another pair of electric motors are mounted on the front wheels - they can be controlled independently, controlling the direction of the thrust vector. They also provide reverse movement, since Valhalla does not have a corresponding gear in the transmission.
As a result, the 4-motor hypercar will accelerate to 100 km/ h in 2.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 350 km/ h. Valhalla became the first model of the British company capable of moving on electric traction, although not for long - only up to 14 km. You can accelerate to 140 km/h at this distance.
The hypercar is equipped with a set of active aerodynamic elements: an adjustable front splitter that can extend, and a wing with a variable angle of attack. At a speed of 240 km/h and above, they provide more than 600 kg of downforce. The units that control the driving electronics are integrated into a single IVC system that controls all settings depending on the selected mode. There are four of them, but disabling the stabilizing systems is only available in the most extreme Race mode. Valhalla is stopped by Brembo brakes with the largest discs in the history of serial "Astons" with a diameter of more than 16 inches in the front and 15.3 inches on the rear wheels.
The minimalist interior of the hypercar features carbon fiber seats, a steering wheel, and two relatively compact displays, while the trim uses carbon fiber and Alcantara. The amenities include Bowers & Wilkins speakers, the ability to connect smartphones via Apple CarPlay, etc.
Aston Martin does not disclose how much the car will cost the buyer, but emphasizes the virtually limitless possibilities for personalizing Valhalla.
