Los Angeles resident Raimi Iacofano decided to get a tattoo that she was promised would be temporary. Two years later, the design is still bright.





The American chose an unusual design for her tattoo: a chicken on a skateboard. She was assured that the ink used was biodegradable and the tattoo would disappear in 9-12 months. However, after 25 months, the design is still visible and has not changed much.

"I wanted to do something silly and cute to remind myself that life isn't meant to be taken seriously," she said.

The tattoo was done by Ephemeral Tattoo, a company that specializes in temporary tattoos. According to the brand's website, such tattoos completely disappear within three years. At the same time, 76% of clients can expect the ink to disappear within two years.

However, for Raimi, the process was slower than she expected. She began to notice problems after nine months, when the tattoo had barely faded.

"I realized that I was going to be with my chicken for a lot longer than I planned," she shared.

Raimi shared her experience on TikTok, where her story sparked a heated discussion. On the two-year anniversary of the tattoo, she called it the "silliest" she's ever gotten. Some users laughed at the situation, while others criticized the company for misleading customers. Raimi, for her part, took it all in good humor.

"The whole point of this tattoo is to not take things too seriously. It reminds me of that every day," she said.
