Titanic Music Played on Cruise Ship During Storm (3 photos + 1 video)
The Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas cruise ship, which had set sail from Barcelona to Miami, encountered a storm. At one point during the storm, passengers said, Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” was playing on board.
The cruise ship encountered a strong storm near Tenerife, which caused the ship to list sharply. The incident caught both passengers and crew by surprise, leading to chaos on board. Witnesses reported furniture and a piano sliding, dishes flying, and panicked people running screaming for cover.
But what made the situation even more grotesque was the fact that Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," the soundtrack to the film "Titanic," was playing over the speakers. This led many to speculate that the disaster had been staged as some kind of macabre attraction. However, the storm was real, and the damage to the ship was real.
However, the ship was repaired, and after several days of delay, it safely docked in Miami. Only one passenger was injured.
