Netflix has presented the first trailer for the animated film Wallace & Gromit: The Savage Vengeance.
In the new part of the cartoon, Gromit's fears that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions are justified when Wallace invents a "smart" gnome that gains a mind of its own. When it turns out that a vengeful figure from the past is in charge, Gromit will have to fight sinister forces and save his master.
The creators of the series, director Nick Park of Aardman and four-time Oscar winner Merlin Crossingham, will work on the film.
Wallace and Gromit first appeared in the 1989 film Moonlight Picnic, followed by The Wrong Trousers (1993) and The Crop Top (1995). A series of short films, The Ingenious Gadgets, were released in 2002, followed by the feature film The Curse of the Were-Rabbit in 2005 and the short film A Matter of Loaf and Death in 2008.
