History in photographs is often more informative than long descriptions and reflections. It is simply a silent witness to what happened, an important historical or not so important event.

Why do so many psychological thrillers about mental hospitals feature baths? Most likely, this is due to "Erotomania", when there is too much libido and hypersexuality.

In such cases, girls or women were dipped in cold baths to cool their ardor and make them "normal".

These pom-pom soldiers are an elite unit of the Greek army. It emerged as light infantry during the Greek War of Independence in the early 19th century. The Evzones were formed mainly from highlanders. Since 1833 they have been part of the regular army, since 1940 they have served in light infantry units and in the royal guard.
