In the Kurakhovo direction, Ukrainian paratroopers repelled an attack by Russian troops. As noted, the occupiers tried yesterday to break through the defense of Ukrainian units and capture Maksimilyanovka (a village in the Maryinsky urban community of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region. - Ed.) for a further offensive on Kurakhovo.
"7 tanks and 11 enemy infantry fighting vehicles approached the positions of the Ukrainian defenders. As a result of the fighting, Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed 2 tanks and 5 infantry fighting vehicles, another 2 tanks were damaged and were able to roll back. The fate of 28 Russian soldiers who participated in the assault remains unknown," the report says.
