A man survived Hurricane Milton while in a boat tied to the shore
A man nicknamed "Lieutenant Dan" (like the character from "Forrest Gump") stayed in a boat all night during Hurricane Milton.
The man said the stormy night wasn't as bad as he expected. At its peak, winds exceeded 252 km/h.
Dan was sure that the hurricane was a repeat of the biblical flood and that God would protect his makeshift ark. Even the police couldn't convince him otherwise.
He received over $20,000 in donations online, and one streamer even promised a new boat for $100,000.
