Neighbors live in hell: a kleptomaniac man made a dump near his house (4 photos)
People often see the owner bringing in new "trophies" in a van. They are worried that because of the illegal dump they will not be able to sell their property.
Mother-of-two Dominique Mangan from Liverpool (UK) put up a fence that cost £1,000 to fence off her neighbor who "opened" a dump right in front of his house.
"Rats are running around in broad daylight and I'm constantly yelling at the kids to make sure they close the doors. If you look out of the window, you can see them running around the garbage. My heart is racing when I think about it," the woman said.
Other neighbors on the street are also fed up and are calling on the city council to take action. One long-time resident said the problem got worse about four years ago.
"It's an eyesore. If you go to Google Street View from 2022, it's night and day compared to now. It's getting worse and worse," he added.
The published photos show mountains of various junk - suitcases, bicycles, furniture, toys, clothes and all sorts of trinkets for the home and garden.
A married couple who live near the problem tenant say: "When we moved here, this was already here. However, over the last couple of months, it has definitely gotten worse. At some point, the owner of the house cleared the area, but then the junk piled up again."

Reacting to the scandal, a Liverpool City Council spokesman said: "This matter is subject to investigation. We will be speaking to the residents affected."
The owner of the house declined to speak to reporters, saying: "No comment."
