Scientists filmed a rare squid with huge tentacles
Australian scientists managed to film the rarest Magnapinna squid. The tentacles of the deep-sea mollusk can reach eight meters in length.
The footage was taken by an underwater drone exploring the Pacific Ocean at a depth of 3.3 km. Less than 20 encounters with this species have been documented throughout history, and this is also the first time it has been discovered in the Tonga Trench, the second deepest ocean trench in the world.
