A bride learned about her beloved's betrayal before the wedding and held the ceremony without him (3 photos)

The 31-year-old bride, who works as a solicitor, went on honeymoon to Crete with her long-term boyfriend.





Bride Lindsay Slater went ahead with her £35,000 wedding without him the night before her big day. She celebrated her freedom with around 70 family and friends.

Guests enjoyed a DJ party, a three-course meal, toasts and photos, while Lindsay wore a £1,200 wedding dress.

The 31-year-old bride, who works as a solicitor, went on honeymoon to Crete with an old friend.



A British woman discovered her partner of 12 years had cheated on her less than a week before they were due to marry in Mansfield, Notts.

"I'm upset. It was too late to cancel all the plans because the money was gone. The guests were shocked. But I felt free. There was so much love around me, so I realized I didn't need him. I decided to spend the day with friends and family, and not sit at home and cry," she says.

Lindsay's ex-lover, 36, declined to comment, but admitted he was unfaithful.
