Spain continues to be stormed by illegal immigrants from Africa (5 photos + 1 video)
First they settle in there, then they go to other EU countries.
The largest influx of refugees into the EU in recent years occurred in 2015. Then more than 1 million people arrived in the "blooming European garden". Mostly from Africa.
Migration naturally decreased in 2020, during the Covid epidemic. And then the EU again became overcrowded with people wanting to live like Europeans.
One of the migration channels is through the Spanish city of Ceuta. It borders Morocco, from where "new Spaniards" are constantly arriving. Migrants from all over the African continent gather there and rush to the EU, where they ask for political asylum.
The police and border guards have built a fence with barbed wire on the border, but it does not help much. For example, yesterday, almost 1.5 thousand people landed on the beach near Ceuta. They waited for a strong fog at sea and set off.
According to the agreement with Morocco, the Spanish authorities can expel citizens of this country. The rest are placed in temporary detention centers. And then they go to Germany, France or other countries of the Union. Last year, EU officials agreed that migrants would be distributed among all countries in the alliance.
Only Hungary has not signed up to this agreement. Its leader, Viktor Orban, recently announced that his country has already been fined €200 million for refusing to accept migrants. And a penalty of €1 million per day has been issued until the state agrees to accept citizens seeking asylum.

And Orban replied that he would negotiate this issue with the EU leadership in September. If they do not reach an agreement, he will indeed accept all refugees in Hungary. But he will immediately put them on buses and send them to Brussels.
As they say, so that they would be more accommodating there.
