A passenger "flew" out of a plane because of her luxurious bag (3 photos)
Woman kicked off plane for refusing to leave luxury handbag under economy class seat.
A woman who refused to put her designer handbag under her seat at the request of a flight attendant caused a delay on a China Express Airlines flight from Chongqing to Hebei Province. She even had to be kicked off the plane.
A video of the incident, posted by one of the passengers on board, has garnered 4 million views on the Chinese social media site Douyin, sparking heated discussions among viewers.
An unnamed eyewitness said the woman asked to put her Louis Vuitton bag next to her, rather than under the seat in front of her as required by airline regulations, but was refused.
Other passengers applauded as police escorted the troublemaker off the plane.
By the way, a Louis Vuitton bag costs about $3,000, while an economy class ticket on a flight from Chongqing to Hebei Province in northern China costs $110.
China Express Airlines did not respond to journalists' requests for comment on this story or say whether the passenger would be punished.
According to the rules, airplane passengers must place bags under the seats in front of them so that in the event of turbulence they do not flip over, injuring people or blocking evacuation routes.
