A huge marlin almost pierced a fisherman (4 photos + 1 video)
The crew of the Jubilee caught a blue marlin in the Gulf of Mexico, but the fish nearly killed the fisherman. 
In the video, a man reels in his catch while the marlin struggles in the water, trying to free himself from the fishing line. In the blink of an eye, the giant jumps on board and nearly impales the fisherman.

The frightening video has collected more than 20 million views.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), blue marlin can grow up to 5 m and weigh up to 900 kg.
They typically live up to 10 years in warm surface waters and are found in tropical and subtropical waters of the Indian, Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
These are aggressive predators with enormous strength. The marlin is also known for its ability to make impressive leaps.
In February 2022, a black marlin (similar to a blue marlin, but with a thicker head and a shorter spear) killed a fisherman off the coast of India by piercing his stomach.
