Five large sharks surrounded a couple in the US
A husband and wife came across five 7-meter sharks while fishing for lobster from a boat off the coast of Massachusetts.
The first shark was initially mistaken for a whale by Perry and Carmel Long. The mistake became clear only after the fish swam to the surface and its characteristic fin became visible.
Over the next 20 minutes, four more sharks surrounded the boat. All five fish were about the same size. Their length exceeded 7.5 meters and was two meters longer than the length of the boat on which the people were. “They were swimming around, just inches from the side,” says Perry Long.
