Carly Sare, 40, from Australia, married 60 of her friends last month. The wedding ceremony lasted three whole days.

The Australian says the unusual union has left her feeling more "full and grounded" than ever before. The woman exchanged vows and blessings with 60 "the loves of her life."

"As a wedding photographer, I spend most of my life attending weddings, and I've noticed that in a culture that is quite sparse in ritual, weddings are a place where they abound. I used to have some doubts about marriage. When did laws on marriage equality, they became quieter, and I realized: I’m not against marriage, I just found it funny how we give preference to some types of love over others,” said the Australian.



Carly added that many of her lovers, her partners, turned out to be dear friends to her. She chose to express her deep commitment and respect for these “deep, lasting loving relationships” by publicly acknowledging their importance and her intention to continue to love them “as intended” throughout the decades of her life, despite the difficulties and distances. To do this, she held an official ceremony at her favorite place on North Stradbroke Island.

The celebration included many traditional wedding elements: vows, toasts, speeches, a long table, a ceremony, formal photographs and dancing until the early hours. However, Carly ditched the white dress and asked her groomsmen to stick to a "colorful" dress code.

"I feel safe when you're around, I feel joy when you're around. I have room for us to make mistakes and I have space for us to correct them," the group held on holding hands and saying vows.



Carly, who lives in Sydney, said the ceremony was stunning, playful, colorful and fun.

“It was a real paradise, and getting married with my friends was the best decision of my life. Now I feel fulfilled and happy like never before in my life. I felt safe and free at the same time. It’s like we created something magical,” she added she.
