What the worst hotel in Manchester looks like, which is compared to the guesthouse from the film "The Shining" (2 photos + 3 videos)
A TikTok blogger decided to check whether the “worst rated” hotel in the city is really as bad as visitors say it is. 
Finding a good hotel can be another challenge, especially if we are talking about the center of a big city. Despite a number of negative reviews, tourists still choose the Sachas Hotel in Manchester, which has a two out of five score on TripAdvisor. And one visitor left a review saying she wouldn't stay here again even if it cost "one pound a night." 
A blogger on TikTok under the nickname @zacjonesliverpool, who regularly records video reviews of hotels, decided to check whether the hotel is really as bad as they say it is.
In the first video, "Stayed at the Worst Reviewed Hotel in Manchester," Zac said that every review he'd seen before was telling people to "avoid it [the hotel] at all costs." When he walked in, he said it was “beautiful,” commenting on the chandelier in the hallway. The woman at the front desk asked him if he wanted to "upgrade" the room to a room with a window, and although he said no, it was upgraded anyway.
When Zach walked into the room, he described it as "a little dark" but added that he had "nothing to complain about" based on his first impressions. He noted that the reviews were not a "fair representation of the hotel" and the room looked "good" and "far from terrible." He said the carpet was "a little dirty" but said the bed looked "clean at first glance."
In the next video, the TikToker reviewed the bathroom and said there was "nothing to complain about or admire." He added that it is "very basic" with an "ugly floor but gets the job done", describing it as "more for convenience than style".
In another video, Zach walked the hotel's corridors, saying it looked like "every hotel in Britain that was ever built" and seemed "pretty clean". The blogger said some of the items looked "creepy."
When the TikToker shined a UV light on the bedding, he said the pillowcases were "horrible" and "not very pretty" because they had marks on them. The mattress, he estimates, looks "cheap" but has no stains. At the end of his latest Sachas video, Zack said, "The last word I'll say about this place is extreme hate."
In the comments, one visitor wrote: "I had the pleasure of staying... reminds me of the hotel from the movie The Shining. I actually would have preferred to stay there." However, someone else disagreed, writing: "Best hotel in the world."
