Kia announces vehicle recall due to flammable seats (1 photo)
Korean automaker Kia announced a recall campaign. According to information published on the website of the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company is recalling 462.8 thousand Kia Telluride crossovers (a fellow Hyundai Palisade) from 2020-2024.
The reason for the recall is the risk of fire in the electric drive motors of the front seats due to their overheating. An incident can occur both while driving and while parked.
Due to this malfunction, in 2023, the driver’s driver’s seat caught fire while driving.
