The police congratulated the birthday boy (4 photos + 1 video)
Boston police granted the wish of a local resident. On his 25th birthday, they came to his house with a birthday cupcake and candles.
The day before, Chris called the station and asked: “I want someone to wish me a happy birthday.”
Officer Israel Bracho and his partner Franklin Ortiz initially took the request as a joke. After checking the data, they were convinced that this was indeed a special day for the young man.
“Everyone has a birthday, and everyone deserves to feel special on this day,” commented Bracho.
In police body camera footage, Chris opens the door and greets guests in uniform.
“We’re glad you turned 25,” the officer told Chris as his colleague lit the candles.
"How old are you?" - the birthday boy asked.
To which I received the answer: “Oh, we are old people, we are about 40.”
When the policeman started singing the song “Happy Birthday,” the guy broke into a smile.
After making a wish and blowing out the candles, he thanked his new friends.
“You guys are amazing,” Chris said.
"We wish you the best birthday ever... Do you need anything else?" - asked the officer.
“Nothing, that’s more than I can ask,” the guy replied.
He admitted that the congratulations made his day.
Bracho said they couldn't come to visit empty-handed, so they bought a cupcake: "My mom raised me right. She would have killed me if I hadn't."
