Replacing actors when creating remakes is a common occurrence, since most often they are filmed a fair number of years after the release of the original. Sometimes, in order to restart the story, new characters are introduced into the plot of the film, and sometimes a new main character is introduced, whose personality in many respects diverges from the one who was in the original.

A spin-off of the film Ocean's 11 (2001) and its two sequels. The new version featured top actresses Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, as well as singer Rihanna.
