In the USA, a giant supermarket trolley was built from an old VW Beetle (2 photos)
The American supermarket chain Publix ordered an unusual “vehicle” for its promotions. Total Precision Fabworx built her an oversized grocery cart. It can move independently and is equipped with two seats.
From the photo it may seem that the cart is not much larger than usual. However, on the lower “tier” two full-fledged car seats are visible. It can be assumed that the height of the entire structure is about three meters.
The cart can drive on its own. It has controls and is powered by an air-cooled engine from a Volkswagen Beetle. The characteristics of the craft are not given.
The Publix chain uses the cart for promotional events. In particular, it can be seen in front of newly opened stores.
Three years ago, Facebook Marketplace sold a hybrid card and supermarket cart. The "Christmas Sales Kart" could reach speeds of up to 65 km/h using the power of a 9-horsepower Briggs & Stratton engine.
