Forecasters warn that bad weather will bring many problems throughout the country. 
Flood warnings were issued from Washington, D.C., all the way to Bar Harbor, Maine, including New York City and Boston.
Severe storms are currently moving through South Florida. More than 165,000 people are being evacuated from the Ultra Electric Music Festival due to the threat of a tornado.
Winter storm warnings are in effect through late Saturday night for northern New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and western Maine.
The cold cyclone is spreading across the region from west to east.
Already, Minnesota State Police say there have been 200 crashes in the state, with at least one death. Snowstorms and stormy winds are worsening the situation in the region. Starting late Sunday, snow storms with wind gusts up to 60 mph are forecast from Texas to Kansas.
In some parts of the country, up to 30-40 cm of snow will fall. Local residents are being urged not to hit the road this weekend and not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.
