A container ship collapsed three cranes in a Turkish port

Only containers and port infrastructure were damaged.

A container ship rammed and demolished three cranes at the international port of Kocaeli in western Turkey. According to the governor of the province, Seddar Yavuz, there were no casualties in the incident, and no damage to the environment was recorded. It is noted that several containers fell into the water from the 368-meter vessel at the time of the collision.

The accident with the Hong Kong-flagged container ship YM Witness, according to preliminary data, occurred due to the fault of the pilot who led the maneuver of the huge vessel.
